Timber Timbre is a Canadian folk music project, featuring Taylor Kirk, Simon Trottier, and Mika Posen. Haunting vocals as well as a distinctly unique sound keep this band as one of my favorites of 2012. I am looking forward to seeing more of them in the coming year.

Of Monsters and Men are a band that are repairing the damage to the Icelandic music scene caused by Björk. They are well on their way to international recognition with the song "Little Talks" which has over 5 millions views on YouTube.

The end of 2012 marks yet another year that The Libertines have been the foundation of a well rounded playlist. Although some new artists are starting to fight their way into regular rotation. Most recently Of Monsters and Men have debuted on my top secret playlist, that if published would cause complete and utter chaos. I will, however, continue to post juicy nuggets so that the revolution can build quietly....and when the time is right, unleash it upon the world.
